X-Men: Apocalypse

In the last X-Men movie the plot was so complex and convoluted that I didn't enjoy it as much as I could have. In this one the plot was simpler making the movie more enjoyable. I wasn't trying to figure out how the plot fit in with the original trilogy etc. Going into the theatre I didn't expect much considering it's an X-Men movie and it's a fun ride but not Oscar worthy lol. I wasn't sure about the 'younger' characters. After watching it I can say it was good. So many people told me not to waste money on it they'd head it was aweful and worse than the last one. I like to make my own decisions thank you very much and do not rely on 'critics' (both professional and friends) to tell me what movie to see or not to see!!!

It was was fun and the younger actors were actually good not OTT. Naturally James McAvoy (Prof X/Charles) and Michael Fassbender (Magneto/Eric) were lynch pins of the franchise. In this installment I found there wasns't enough McAvoy but that being said I'm goind to give Michael F a very rare compliment in that he was excellent. He made me feel for the character of Eric and his plight as a mutant and I empathized with what he was going through and I felt sadness for the character. I also understood where the character of Apocalypse was coming from and that's rare too even if I didn't agree with how he went about it!

If you've seen it let me know what you thought....
